Hospital gowns / medical gowns
Hospital Direct’s Standard Surgical Hospital Gowns offer the comfort and dignity patients need to feel comfortable when undergoing medical procedures.
These disposable medical gowns provide an optimal solution for patients undergoing procedures that don’t require a sterile product. They are especially handy when standard hospital gowns don’t provide enough coverage or protection. This is often the case in barrier nursing, where our non-sterile gowns prevent the transmission of infective agents between patients and staff during clinical and surgical procedures.
The multi-layer structure of the hospital gowns’ blue fabric (SMMS) offers a unique combination of strength and revolutionary microbial-barrier properties. The patient-specific gowns also offer far more tear resistance than single-layer, non-woven medical gowns. Plus, they feature set-in sleeves, adjustable necks and welded seams in areas most at risk of exposure.
The gowns are available in four generous sizes from Small to Extra Large.
We manufacture the hospital gowns in our Shropshire premises and supply them in boxes of 30. If you require more than five boxes, please follow our simple quote process to receive a discounted price.
You can also download the product specs for the hospital gowns.
Liquid Penetration Properties
We stock standard and high-performance hospital gowns, each determined by the liquid penetration properties for critical areas (including front and seams).
- 20cm H2O or above = standard performance
- 100cm H2O or above = high performance
These medical gowns are designed for low exposure to fluids, so please ensure they are suitable for your needs. If you need impervious/high-performance surgical gowns, please contact us.
