Widely referred to as “sling fitting boards”, the Eezi-Transfer™ oval boards have a wide range of uses that go way beyond what their name suggests.
Our new Eezi-Transfer™ Oval boards are perfect for those needing to create space between a patient and a surface, particularly for sling fitting. Creating space however can have a number of additional benefits, including repositioning, for example.
LARGE OVAL
The large oval board is essential for gentle sling fitting for a seated patient. Their soft rounded slim edges and oval profile means they can be gently pushed down behind a patient with minimal disturbance. In addition, they are perfect for carers to reposition and even transfer a laying patient smoothly and with minimal physical risk to both themselves and their patient.
SMALL OVAL
For sling fitting, the small oval boards are an excellent add-on to the large boards. Once the sling has been positioned down the users back, manoeuvre the bottom half of the sling under the patient’s seated area. Work from the base of the spine and pull the sling forward in the same way, but under one buttock at a time. This is far easier and safer for both the user and the carer, rather than trying to pull the sling under the patient in one move. The small oval boards are also excellent for more able patients to reposition themselves when seated.
