Transatlantic Rollboard Disposable Covers are compatible with our Transatlantic Rollboard. Using a fresh cover for every patient transfer significantly reduces any risk of an infection from blood, dirt or fluids being transmitted on to the next users as a result of a patient move. Essentially infection control is vitally improved.

Suitable for any hospital or medical setting, each cover is single-use and therefore should be appropriately disposed of after each transfer. Covers are supplied in rolls of 100 with easy-tear, perforated guides between each one.

While slipping the covers on to the boards is relatively easy, it can be a little fiddly if you are doing it on your own. However, you may want to consider purchasing a Transatlantic Organisers if your rollboard is used on a regular basis. In addition to having a handy cover dispenser and tidily storing your rollboard, it holds the board perfectly for a cover to be put on quickly and easily by just one person.

How To Use

1. If you have one, place a roll into the top of your Transatlantic Organiser. In the absence of an organiser, your roll should be stored in a suitable clean environment where it is safe while easy to access. Unroll the material and tear along the perforation at the tear guide.
2. Each cover is 56cm wide and 195cm long, with the short sides open to create a tall tube. Insert the Rollboard into the tube.
3. Pull the transfer board disposable cover over the Rollboard tight to one side. Fold the overlapping material on your side over the top of the cover.
4. Transfer the patient.
5. Remove the PE-Cover by pulling the Rollboard out. This will require two people. Alternatively, pull one side over the other to keep the dirt inside the cover and then dispose of it.
6. Clean the used Rollboard following your hospitals disinfection methods, or any common disinfectants.
