Hospital Direct’s ProTurn® Sheets make prone positioning easy for caregivers who turn and transfer patients.

These ProTurn® sheets make it easy for caregivers to turn patients from supine to prone positions and back again. Carers can insert one of the slide sheets into bedding to turn a patient in a controlled movement. This means they no longer have to use the ‘flip and catch’ method, which can lead to staff injury.

Aside from preventing caregivers from injuring themselves, the prone positioning sheets also improve patient safety during proning and use specialist materials to ensure comfort. The sheets also feature built-in pockets that hold wipeclean pads. The integral padded pockets prevent entrapment and protect patients’ arms during prone positioning.

Theatre staff, surgeons and anaesthetists across the UK recommend the prone positioning solution, which forms the backbone of the ProTurn® system and has been specifically designed for proning in the theatre environment.
