ONE-WAY SLIDE SHEET / ONE-WAY GLIDE SHEET
One-Way Slide Sheet / One-Way Glide SHeet
Hospital Direct’s wipeclean Glide and Lock for beds – an advanced, one-way slide sheet – helps patients sit up comfortably.
Sitting up in bed can be challenging for patients who are recovering from injuries or surgery. And re-positioning these patients can be heavy, tiring work for health practitioners. But this breathable, one-way glide sheet overcomes both problems. Whether patients use the system independently or with assistance from carers, the Glide and Lock makes it easy to sit up in bed. What’s more, the Glide and Lock’s anti-slip panel and locking mechanism prevent users from slipping back down the bed, so they can stay comfortable in their sitting position for as long as necessary.
Before use, caregivers should check the direction of the locking mechanism and position the one-way slide sheet accordingly. The anti-slip panel should be face down. They can then insert the sheet before seating the patient or client. Alternatively, carers can unfold the sheet under patients who are already in bed.
The wipeclean Glide and Lock for beds is one of many models in our Glide and Lock range. This range also includes models with an all-over anti-slip coating and additional cushioning. If you need more advice on finding the model you need, please get in touch with our Technical Team. We will be delighted to help.
