Hospital Direct’s washable RT Positioner takes the difficulty out of patient positioning.

Positioning patients with perfect accuracy has always been difficult, especially as achieving a specific position can be uncomfortable and awkward for the patient. Of course, patient positioning can also be extremely tiring, heavy work for staff. Not only can outdated patient positioning techniques cause skin damage to patients, but they can also risk staff injuries. However, this ingenious x-ray positioning aid allows radiotherapists to position their patients with the precision that has been near impossible until now.

Real-life practitioners worked with design teams to develop this forward-thinking aid – a practical solution for radiography departments. Caregivers can place the RT Positioner behind a patient’s breast or pelvic area and use the integrated handles to move the patient into the specific position required for their x-ray.

The RT Positioner is available in two sizes and is fully washable.

We recommend using the RT Positioner with our X-Ray Insertion System, which radiographers, critical care staff and paediatric nurses can use to take mobile x-rays without having to disrupt patients in any way. We sell the insertion system in two sizes to fit both x-ray cassettes and the newer digital detectors.
