A one size fits all Concealment Trolley, direct to Motuary without transfers
Hospital Direct’s XCcube® is the ultimate hospital concealment trolley, allowing practitioners to transport the deceased from ward to mortuary as respectfully as possible, ensuring the highest Hospital concealment trolley care standards.
Until now, the long-standing solution to transferring a deceased person from ward to mortuary has been the use of a blue sheet but this is not an ideal solution as hospital patients and visitors can still make out the departed.
To transfer the deceased with dignity and discretion, the XCcube® is a lightweight frame that mortuary porters can expand in seconds to cover any bed (ranging from paediatric to bariatric), trolley, cradle or other surface supporting a deceased person.
dignity in death – for all hospitals and end of life care establishments
Providing dignity for the deceased during transportation from ward to mortuary, the XCcube® hospital concealment trolley also eliminates the need for practitioners to undertake a patient transfer before transiting from the ward or other location of death.
The XCcube® V3 is the result of several year’s research and development work and has resulted in the entire system being more ergonomic, more robust and more streamlined, with set-up taking less than two minutes.
Unique to Hospital Direct, we also offer Mortuary Body Hoist Slings that provide mortuary solutions for lowering bariatric deceased into coffins.
Designed and independently tested to safely transfer and lower a Bariatric patient up to 600kg into a coffin, the Mortuary Body Hoist Slings are used in conjunction with a blue Single-Use Lateral Patient Transfer Sheet, and a mobile hoist or overhead tracking gantry system which has a five point flat lifting attachment connected.
Mortuary technicians have also told us that they have encountered problems with securing the arms and legs of the deceased within the confines of their fridge tray, especially when dealing with bariatrics. For this reason, we developed a Mortuary Fridge Bands to support in this area.
Staff in mortuaries have had to develop their own, not always, dignified solutions and there was a definite need for a product that would solve the problem quickly and easily whilst also ensuring respect for the deceased. Hospital Directs Mortuary Fridge Bands solve this issue for them and area used throughout the country.
