Slide Sheet / Car Slide Glide Sheet
Hospital Direct’s Car Slide transforms any car seat into a slide seat, ideal for those who need a slippery surface to get into and out of vehicles.
If you need help to swivel in and out of a car, this simple slide sheet will help you slide in and out with ease. Just tuck the Car Slide between the back and base of the seat to secure, sit back and swivel. This way, you’ll be able to regain your independence on your car journeys.
The car slide sheet is available in two sizes – 70cm x 80cm and 90 x 90cm – to fit your vehicle.
Note: it’s important to remove the car slide sheet before the vehicle moves. Please watch the product video to see all the safety features and tips given by a top mobility specialist.

I bought the Slide Sheet to make it easier for my wife (Advanced Alzheimer’s Disease) to get in and out of the front passenger seat. The car seat is higher than her wheelchair seat. She can stand and back towards the car seat, and is just able to perch on the edge but needs a bit of lifting and pushing from me to rotate. The slide seat makes this easier. I also rang the help line to determine whether the slide seat could remain in place for the return, but too dangerous. Very helpful person, but sliding the sheet back under my wife to exit was not as easy as suggested as she is unable to help and so is a ‘dead-weight’. Not the complete solution, but at least the entry was easier – half way there!
