X-RAY PLATE HOLDER
These unique, patient-specific X-ray plate covers allow health professionals to take mobile X-rays without having to directly manoeuvre patients.
The Disposable Quilted X-Ray Plate Holder is primarily used in intensive and critical care units. The holder wraps around the X-Ray Plate to reduce handling risks associated with mobile X-rays, such as excessive movement of patients, increased risk of ventilator-induced pneumonia, skin tissue damage, and risk to staff associated with poor handling.
The quilted patient-specific X-ray plate covers provide extra comfort for patients, and the padded cassette holders have handles on each of the shorter sides to help staff re-adjust the positioning of the plate. Health professionals can also attach straps to these handles to enable easier insertion, especially for heavier patients. Choose between economy straps and wipeclean straps to suit your organisation.
These double-slippy holders encase the X-ray cassette or digital detector, enabling easy insertion behind/under the patient (when used in conjunction with an Insertion Tube). This way, health professionals don’t need to lift or disturb the patient in any way while preparing for the X-ray.
A radiographer will need to work with another health professional to use the X-ray plate holder. Health professionals will also need a double slippy insertion tube or slide sheets to insert the holder.
The X-ray cassette covers are available in two sizes to suit standard cassettes and the newer, larger Digital Detectors.
