ONE-WAY SLIDE SHEET / ONE-WAY GLIDE SHEET
Hospital Direct’s wipeclean Glide and Lock for chair use – a one-way slide sheet with handles – helps patients sit up in wheelchairs and standard chairs.
The Glide and Lock allows carers to help patients slide to the back of a chair or wheelchair without slipping. Carers can take hold of the handles, which are positioned along the length of the one-way glide sheet, as they support the patient into a chair. This prevents carers from having to bend or overstretch as they assist the patient. If desired, they can attach extension straps to the handles to reduce the need to bend or stretch even further.
Once the patient is in place, the carer can secure the slide sheet’s locking mechanism to keep the patient safe and secure for as long as they’d like to sit. This way, the patient won’t slip back down the chair.
The wipeclean Glide and Lock for chairs is just one model in our large Glide and Lock range. This range also includes models with an all-over anti-slip coating and additional cushioning.
