SLIDE BOARD TRANSFERS / BANANA BOARD TRANSFERS
Hospital Direct’s high-slide transfer board helps patients achieve slide board transfers between two surfaces.
Patients can place this Transfer Board Slide on top of a sitting transfer board to help them move effortlessly between surfaces. Whether they need to bridge the gap between chairs, wheelchairs, beds or car seats, the Transfer Board Slide makes slide board transfers much easier. Users can improve their independence as they move from one surface to another with either zero or limited assistance from a single carer.
Ideal for banana board transfers, the Transfer Board Slide is only as wide as a sitting board and features an anti-slip panel that grips the top of the board to avoid slipping. Simply pop the disposable Transfer Board Slide on top of your board and tuck it under your bottom. Once in place, the Transfer Board Slide will enable you to slide from the surface you are on to the one you want to get to. You can then pull the board out.
The Transfer Board Slides are disposable, so patients can use them for as long as they need before swapping for a new one. This way, medical organisations can reduce laundry requirements while upholding good hygiene practices. The slides are especially ideal for high-turnover areas or patients whose reduced mobility is temporary. Patients who need long-term care might be better suited to our washable Transfer Board Slide.
